Wonderful success for Burnham-on-Sea RNLI volunteers first 2012SOS Day car wash, and here's to another one on 11th February.Lifeboat and shorecrew members were kept busy all morning with a never ending queue ofvehicles,and thanks to Trafalgar Automotive Chemicals, were able to provide a top quality service. Each vehicle was diligently soaped using professional carwash chemicals cleaning materials, and rinsed to obtain the perfect finish.

With £720.90p raised in donations and a total of 90 vehicles of all shapes and sizes cleaned,the hard-working volunteers are enthusiastically looking forward to the second event on Saturday 11th February.

Lifeboat Operations Manager Ricky Holmes said; "A splendid effort by our lifesavers, and much appreciated support from the general public.We look forward to Saturday when we shall again be open between 10.00 am and 2.00 pm."

RNLI supporters,the Miller family who drove specially from NetherStowey said; "Absolutely brilliant, and really good fun! We would have come even if the car wasn't dirty, because it's the RNLI!"
